Snowdonia National Park in August 2024

Date: 25th Aug 2024 Author: sharon phua
We joined 10th Teddington and Shackleton explorers for a weekend of hiking in the stunning Snowdonia National Park.

Our accommodation was a converted Salvation Army Hall, which is now owned by the County Scout Council of Greater London South West and is a very convenient base to explore Snowdonia.

We spent the day surrounded by breathtaking views as we hiked in the hills. Some of our group made it to the peak of Snowdon.

We will definitely return so we can explore more of North Wales.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
