First ever play by 2nd Tedd Scout to raise funds for the charity “Shelterbox”

Date: 25th Aug 2024 Author: Scout Websites

The LITTLE  MERMAID performed by 2nd Teddington scout troop.

Over the last term, our troop devoted their scout nights to producing an amazing production of the little mermaid, everyone took part. The overall production and idea was managed by just two scouts who choreographed the dances and auditioned the rest of the troop.

We made back drops, probs and costumes, everyone got stuck in. Rehearsals were limited due to time and other commitments but we got there in the end and put on a fabulous, unforgettable show, delighting our audience. On the night we made over £600, most of the money raised will be donated to the charity Shelterbox.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
