Beaver Activity Day, September 2023

Date: 4th Oct 2023 Author: Scout Websites

In September the 2nd Teddington Beavers gathered at Walton Firs Scout Camp, along with 200 other Beavers from across Richmond Upon Thames, for an amazing weekend of fun and adventure.

This year’s theme was ‘The Jungle’ and it proved to be an action packed weekend, the Beavers played games, followed trails, took on challenging assault courses, cooked on open fires, built ancient cardboard ruins and sang songs around the campfire. Some of the older Beavers stayed for a sleepover and the next day tried out some of the more adventurous activities the Walton Firs site has to offer.

The Beavers were delighted to earn several new badges and three members of the colony were awarded their third Nights Away badge – well done!

Our thanks go to the District team for organising another wonderful event.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
